QUALITY MANAGER - Manufacturing of Steel Products

Position: QA MANAGER Business: Manufacturing of Steel Products Location: Samutprakarn Salary: 70,000 – 90,000 THB Responsibilities Define policies, plan, and oversee the quality management system in accordance with metal industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, and customer-specific standards in the automotive or construction sectors. Control the quality of raw materials, cold rolling processes, wire drawing, and finished products such as wire, sheets, and wire profiles to meet required standards (JIS, ASTM, DIN). Analyze quality issues and establish corrective and preventive actions (CAPA / 8D Report / Root Cause Analysis) in collaboration with production and engineering teams. Monitor and follow up on internal audit systems and ensure readiness for customer and external certifications. Develop quality documentation systems, flow process control, control plans, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and inspection standards tailored to steel manufacturing processes. Manage QA/QC teams across incoming, in-process, and final inspections, including metallurgical and chemical laboratories. Coordinate with domestic and international customers regarding product quality, complaints, and corrective actions. Present regular quality KPI reports to management, including % Reject, Customer Claims, Line Yield, and First Pass Yield. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in QA/QC within metal/steel/stainless steel manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949 systems and their application in cold-rolled steel industries. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and foster cross-functional collaboration. Good command of English, both spoken and written, for communication with international clients. #citybangkok
