About Strescon LimitedEstablished in 1963, Strescon Limited has grown to become the largest precast, pre-stressed concrete manufacturer in Eastern Canada. Its primary market covers the Atlantic Provinces and the New England region of the United States. Strescon manufactures a wide range of both architectural and structural precast/prestressed concrete products including bridge girders, wall panels, complete parking garages, hollowcore slabs, precast pile, and deck slabs. Strescon presently has two facilities: 70,000 sq. ft. in Saint John, New Brunswick and 50,000 sq. ft. in Bedford, Nova Scotia. In addition to our engineered precast facilities for custom components, Strescon also operates a 32,000 sq. ft. facility in Saint John which manufactures standard concrete products for engineered drainage systems, such as pipe, manholes and catch basins. Job SummaryAre you a detail-driven leader with a passion for precision and continuous improvement? Strescon Limited is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee and elevate the quality operations at our Saint John Precast and Pipe facilities. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring our products meet the highest standards of excellence—aligned with company goals, customer expectations, and industry benchmarks.As the Quality Manager, you’ll lead a dedicated team, drive consistency across quality control processes, and champion a culture of accountability and innovation. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our products and processes, ensuring every project reflects our commitment to quality and reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and optimize concrete mix designs, including specialty architectural and zero-slump mixesLead, train, and support the quality inspection team and batch plant operatorsIdentify and resolve mix design inconsistencies with proactive corrective actionsDevelop and enforce rigorous testing protocols and quality proceduresCoordinate and manage internal and external audits, including follow-up actionsFoster collaboration between quality and production teams to ensure smooth operationsManage raw material inventory and cost control for concrete distributionPromote knowledge sharing and workforce development within the quality departmentEnsure timely coordination of remedials and final product deliveryEstimate lab, mix, and inspection-related costsConduct investigations to support corrective actions and failure analysisOversee sample fabrication and ensure alignment with production capabilitiesPerform additional duties as requiredQualifications & ExperiencePost-secondary education in civil engineering, engineering technology, or a related fieldProven experience in quality assurance, preferably within the construction or concrete industrySupervisory experience is a strong assetProficient in reading and interpreting construction drawingsSolid understanding of CSA, ASTM, and DTI standardsWhat We’re Looking ForA strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skillsA hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-project environmentA clear communicator who can navigate diverse teams and resolve conflicts effectivelyA champion of accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvementAs a member of the OSCO Construction Group, Strescon offers a comprehensive compensation package including health and dental coverage, life insurance, RRSP and tax-free savings account options.
