Job Description
THE ROLEThe Quality Partner are to ensure quality standards are maintained through product evaluation and are aligned to the BIG W standards. This role requires collaboration with Design, Category, Quality and Compliance teams to deliver product safety , quality and compliance on the technical design elements to deliver great fit and quality garments through the supply chainMAIN ACCOUNTABILITIESConduct product evaluation and provide product development and technical expertise to category business teams.Provide suggestions of the best way to construct or adjust garment and resolve any potential style and fit issues. Fit and evaluate all samples against tech pack with designer & Aus Fit & Quality partnerEnsure all products are made in line with BIGW standards and meet required safety and compliance standards and regulations. Determine testing requirements for products to the appropriate level of due diligence and regulatory compliance.Ensure all suppliers of Woolworths Branded products have appropriate technical and ethical audit compliance prior to supply.Support the softgoods / apparel/ kidswear category to deliver safe, legal and quality products.Ensure size standards, construction and fit of samples/production are consistent with BIGW requirementsEnsure each product is entered fully into the product database ( PLMS) and is updated with all new information as it comes to hand.Retention/maintenance of samples (archiving) as mandated by department (high risk etc).Collaborate with BIGW Compliance and Quality team re. Standards, sizing, testing and other requirements to ensure a safe and compliant product.Work with BIGW Compliance and Quality team to assist where required in any product risk assessments, root cause evaluations and how to prevent potential production and quality problems in the future. Specialise in a department, but be flexible to work across the BIG W Categories. To ensure all factories which produce our own brand products meet the compliance requirements for Woolworths Supplier Excellence and Responsible Sourcing Policy. Investigate product incidents (returns, complaints or feedback) using risk based thinking to determine whether withdrawals or recalls are necessary to ensure the safety of our customers and team.CORE CAREER EXPERIENCESMinimum 5 years' apparel QA experience in an international buying or liaison office.Preferred experience -A solid understanding of the Australian consumer law and the regulatory requirements.
