Quality Assurance ManagerLocation: Monaghan, IrelandDepartment: Compliance & AssuranceReporting to: Head of Compliance / Site DirectorRole PurposeThe Compliance Manager will lead and manage all aspects of regulatory and internal compliance for the organisation’s operations in Monaghan. The role ensures that business activities, products and processes meet legal, regulatory, and corporate standards. It also promotes a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement across the site.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain the site’s compliance management system in alignment with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 37301, ISO 9001).Monitor and interpret changes in relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards; assess business impact and coordinate implementation.Conduct internal compliance audits, risk assessments, and gap analyses to identify vulnerabilities and drive remedial actions.Oversee product and process compliance, ensuring all documentation, declarations, and certifications are up to date.Collaborate with departments such as Operations, Quality, Technical, Procurement, and HR to embed compliance in daily activities.Maintain documentation systems for compliance policies, procedures, audit records, and regulatory communications.Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programs for employees at all levels.Prepare regular compliance reports and dashboards for senior management.Serve as the key point of contact for external auditors, certification bodies, and regulators.Support continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to better systems, controls, and compliance culture.Key Skills & ExperienceEssential:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business, Engineering, Science, Compliance, Law, or Quality Management).Minimum 5 years’ experience in compliance, audit, or quality management, preferably in a manufacturing or regulated environment.Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, risk management, and internal control processes.Experience conducting audits and managing compliance action plans.Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work across multiple departments.Competence in Microsoft Office and document control systems.Desirable:Professional compliance certification (e.g., CCEP, ICA, IIA, or equivalent).Internal or lead auditor qualification (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 37301).Experience with product certification, environmental or safety compliance.Familiarity with ERP or compliance management systems.Personal AttributesHigh ethical standards and integrity.Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.Confident decision-maker with strong attention to detail.Strong interpersonal skills; able to engage effectively with all levels of the organisation.Adaptable and resilient in a dynamic manufacturing or operational environment.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Audit completion and corrective action closure rates.Compliance training completion levels.Number and severity of compliance incidents or findings.Timeliness and quality of compliance reporting.Level of compliance integration in new projects and process changes.Working ConditionsBased on-site in Monaghan, with occasional travel to other locations or external meetings.Full-time position within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Remuneration & BenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience.To hear more about this position or to discuss your suitability to please reach out to Nisha for a confidential chat on 01 632 5046 or email your CV to nisha.rutherford@recruiters.ie Your CV will not be sent to any third party without your consent.By applying here you agree to RECRUITERS storing your CV in our secure applicant tracking system (ATS; Bullhorn).
