ABEC's products include process and equipment engineering/consulting services, comprehensive site services, bioreactors and fermenters, filtration and chromatography systems, prep and hold systems, and cleaning/sterilisation systems.Position Summary:The Quality Vessels Technician assists the Quality team with implementation of company-wide operations procedures and process to support the overall Quality Assurance plan. This role supports Quality improvement throughout the shop floor and within the team concept. Participate as cross-functional team member within assigned goal-oriented team responsibility.Responsibilities:O Inspection of incoming materials & components, ABEC manufactured items, and assembled systems in order to ensure conformance to established quality standards and all related quality documentation requirements.O Physical inspection of manufactured parts to verify conformance to design drawings and related specifications (material, dimensional, surface finish, etc).O Ensure accurate and complete receipt of all required quality-related documentation.O Conduct in-process inspections and prepare reporting documents as required during manufacturing, Pre-FAT, and packaging/crating of equipment.O Conduct "Walk Downs" of systems using the Approved GA drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy of data.O Perform necessary data entry to process accepted materials and components into ERP system, accurately logging all lot and serial number tracked items as required.O Creation and processing of Material Discrepancy Reports, as well as assisting in resolution of problems and return discrepant materials as required.O Conduct various administrative functions as required in support of Quality Department activities.O Assist in controlling & maintaining test equipment and calibration of test equipment within ABEC.O Filing of project-related and Quality Department documentation.O Assist in the assembly of project Turnover Packages (TOPs).O Interaction with customers and vendors as needed.O Travel to other ABEC facilities, vendor locations or customer sites as required to support Quality Department activities.O Follow all ABEC safety rules and corporate policies.O Will play an active role in identifying and driving Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunity.O Execute other tasks as assigned.Qualifications:O Leaving Certificate minimum, level 6/7 degree in a technical field preferred.O 3 years post graduate work in a related field or functionO Certified Quality Inspector, (CQI) / Certified Quality Technician (CQT) preferred but not mandatory.O Awareness of and prior experience with implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) a plus. Prior Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus
