Quantitative Analyst – Sports betting - LondonOption to work from home up to 4 days a week or fully remote.Job SummaryQuantitative Analyst is required for one of the leading providers of sports betting brokerage software in the world. The company is based in London and offers flexible working hours. The successful candidate will be joining the team who is responsible for developing and managing a range of proprietary models and algorithms that run at the heart of the bet-placement platform. You will be part of a small team, working in a relaxed environment, and using a range of modern open-source tools like Jupyter, PyTorch and Spark. You will be working with terabytes of data, and will be part of a team that can quickly run experiments at scale in the markets, allowing the company to test their hypotheses in a live environment.As Quantitative Analyst you will need:3 years’ experience as a quantitative analyst or data scientist in sports bettingA mathematics-based degree from a top universityExpertise in Bayesian statistics, MCMC, and GLMsKnowledge of sports models literatureProficient in SQL and Python/RDemonstrated experience building and delivering ML and statistical modelsResponsibilities and DutiesYour day-to-day duties and responsibilities will include, but won’t be limited to building and improving sports prediction modelsAnalysing, cleaning, and processing raw dataDeveloping, improving, and maintaining ML and statistical models for risk managementAnalyse data and perform inferences to understand betting markets and customers behaviourThe OpportunityOpportunities to progress your quantitative developer careerWorking in GLMs, BMMs, Kalman filters, MCMC and the TrueSkill Ranking systemWorking with some of the brightest Quants within the industry.
