TURKISH CITIZENS ONLY!About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantitative Analyst / Algorithmic Trader to join our Chicago-based customer, who has an office in ODTU-Teknokent.The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background (graduate from the electrical and electronics engineering department), excellent programming skills, an excellent level of English, and a passion for solving complex problems in financial markets. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing trading strategies using data-driven approaches.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement algorithmic trading strategies based on statistical and machine learning models.Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and trading opportunities.Conduct backtesting and performance analysis of strategies using historical data.Monitor and adjust algorithms in real time to respond to market changes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, risk managers, and portfolio managers.Communicate complex analytical insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Required QualificationsEducational BackgroundBachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Electrical and Electronics Engineering).Advanced degrees (Master’s or Ph.D.) are highly preferred.Strong foundation in probability, calculus, linear algebra, numerical methods, and stochastic processes.Programming & Technical SkillsProficiency in programming languages such as Python (essential), R, or MATLAB.Familiarity with SQL and experience with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.Experience with algorithmic trading platforms and backtesting frameworks.Quantitative & Analytical SkillsDeep understanding of statistical modeling, time-series analysis, and machine learning.Ability to build and optimize predictive models and trading algorithms.Knowledge of portfolio optimization and risk management strategies.Financial KnowledgeSolid understanding of financial markets and instruments (equities, derivatives, FX, etc.).Familiarity with market microstructure, arbitrage, market-making, and hedging strategies.Awareness of financial regulations and compliance standards.Preferred ExperiencePrevious experience in quantitative finance, data science, or algorithmic trading.Background working in hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, or investment banks.Exposure to high-frequency trading (HFT) or low-latency systems is a strong advantage.Successful internships in relevant roles are also considered.Soft SkillsExcellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.Why Join Us?Work in a high-impact role at the forefront of financial innovation.Collaborate with top-tier professionals in an intellectually stimulating environment.Access to the latest tools, technologies, and data resources.Opportunities for growth, learning, and performance-based rewards.
