The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects by accurately estimating and managing costs, while also maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the civil and infrastructure sector Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in cost estimation and budget management software Familiarity with local building codes and regulations Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to travel to project sites as needed Professional certification (e.g. MRICS) is a plusKey Responsibilities: Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil and infrastructure projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities Monitor and control project costs throughout all stages of the project Prepare and review project budgets and progress reports Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within budget Review and negotiate contracts and change orders with clients and subcontractors Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify any potential cost or schedule issues Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and regulations Keep accurate records of all project costs and maintain a database of cost information for future use Mentor and train junior quantity surveyors as needed
