Job Description
Following the award of several new contracts in Northern Ireland, we have a vacancy's for a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our team. These position can be based in either our BELFAST OR COOKSTOWN office.Bell Contracts & Co Ltd are a professional construction company which operates throughout the UK and Ireland. We provide construction, property redevelopment and refurbishment services across various sectors.ResponsibilitiesAnalyse construction drawings and specifications to identify labour, material, and specialist requirementsPreparation of enquiry documents, sourcing and obtaining material and subcontractor quotations including final negotiations and ordersNegotiate with suppliers and subcontractors on a regular basis to ensure budgets are not exceededComplete monthly sub contractor valuations through to final accountComplete monthly valuations to PQS and record all additional works itemsLiaise with clients to agree rates/variations and cost analysisMeasure works as per contract specific schedule of ratesPreparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts within the agreed timescalesWorking closely with Management and Accounts to ensure accurate and vigorous cost management of the project to deliver a profitable outcomeProvide accurate and robust monthly reports for Management and Client Progress MeetingsAttend and participate in Site Progress MeetingsCandidateIdeally have Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or in other related disciplines.
