Quantity Surveyor

Elusav Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a market leader in Modular Cleanroom Design for the Biopharmaceutical sector. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for measuring and pricing tenders, including seeking quotes from Suppliers & Sub-contractors. This role will be based in Kilkenny, with travel required to sites both nationwide and abroad. Responsibilities:Effectively communicate with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, construction managers and construction supervisors to discuss and resolve issues and to ensure the project runs efficiently.Monitor costs from vendors and subcontractors, explore variances, manage issues and in conjunction with the Project Manager, deal with cost overruns and recovery.Prepare internal/client cost reports as and when required.Prepare interim applications for payment and assess sub-contractor/supplier applications.Keep your manager fully advised of any issue/risk which has arisen or might arise, which could affect the business/project.Requirements:Have the ability to work to tight deadlines and budgets.Have a good working knowledge and understanding of the commercial aspect of projects.Be fully competent in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.Familiarity with Microsoft Project and/or Conquest would be an advantage, but is not essential.Contact:If you would like to learn more about the vacancy, apply now, or contact Thaissa Torres on Ttorres@elusav.com or +353 15822807.
