Quantity Surveyor

Roles & ResponsibilitiesOversee projects from inception through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budgetFormulation of procurement strategy, preparation of tender documentations, preparation of cost reports and cost plans, administration of tender process, evaluation of tenders and submission of tender recommendation reports.Review variation request order, assess the associated variation costs, loss & expense claims, monthly financial report, processing of progress payment and final accountTo work closely with the Project Team providing cost and financial advice, support negotiations of claims, manage contractual changes and resolve disputes or conflict resolution with Contractors.RequirementsRecognised Degree in Quantity Surveying with good understanding of the Construction processPreferably possess experience in a QS consulting environment, preferably with experience in infrastructure & large scale civil projectsMust be well versed with the Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract and various types of Contract ConditionsHas good writing and communication skills and strong negotiation and mediation skillsMust have excellent analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilitiesPossesses superior attention to detail in order to spot inconsistencies in contractsResourceful and able to work independently and is a good team player as wellPossess excellent people skills with the ability to integrate within a multi-disciplinary team.At Surbana Jurong, we put talent, hard work, teamwork and a fun workplace together to approach problems and solve them creatively and collaboratively.
