Job Description

Job Summary:The Quantity Surveyor plays a vital role within the Estimation & Costing Department by providing accurate quantity take-offs and supporting the pricing team in preparing competitive and well-informed cost estimates. This role involves working closely with the technical team to review project drawings, calculate material quantities, and assist in the preparation of tender documents and cost proposals.Key Responsibilities:Review architectural and engineering drawings to extract accurate quantity take-offs.Collaborate with the estimation team to prepare cost estimates and pricing for tenders and new projects.Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed breakdowns of work items.Analyze and calculate quantities of materials, labor, and equipment for various project elements.Track design changes and update quantity and cost projections accordingly.Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotations.Support in the preparation of technical and financial tender submissions.Suggest cost-effective alternatives or material substitutions when applicable.Generate detailed cost analysis and reports to support estimation decisions.Maintain organized records of all quantity-related documents and calculations.Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quantity surveying, preferably in a contracting or consultancy environment.Strong skills in interpreting construction drawings and technical documents.Experience in marble and stone works and fit-out projects is highly desirable.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of AutoCAD and Power BI.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills in both English and Arabic.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Team player with a solution-oriented mindset.
