Position: Data Insights & Growth Analyst – Remote (Contract)Location: 100% Remote – Anywhere within CanadaJob Type: 6 months with high potential for extensionOverview: Our client, a leading digital commerce organization, is seeking a highly analytical and business-savvy professional to support customer engagement and growth initiatives. This contract role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data to uncover actionable insights and enjoys contributing to strategic projects across multiple teams. Key Responsibilities: - Design, maintain, and improve internal tools and dashboards that support account management and client-facing teams. - Perform deep-dive data investigations to uncover growth opportunities across key retail partners.
- Develop and deliver custom reports for stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable recommendations. - Monitor business KPIs and performance goals, creating reporting frameworks for ongoing visibility. - Assist in strategic and operational initiatives including competitive analysis, program testing, and trend identification. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline (e. g. , Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, or Economics). - Demonstrated experience with SQL (intermediate to advanced proficiency). - High proficiency in spreadsheet tools (Excel or Google Sheets), including pivot tables and visualizations. - Strong analytical reasoning with the ability to distill large datasets into meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication skills with attention to clarity and detail. Preferred Skills & Experience: - 3+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, preferably in technology, digital commerce, or a consumer-facing industry. - Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Mode. - Exposure to customer engagement strategies, business operations, or cross-functional collaboration. - Background knowledge of retail or e-commerce ecosystems is a strong asset. - Familiarity with AI/ML concepts is a bonus, though not required.
