The opportunityOur local product group Insulation & Components is the technology leader in design and manufacture of high voltage transformer bushings. All renowned international companies of the electrical industry, active in power generation, transmission and distribution are among our customers. We have a top position in the high voltage bushing areas worldwide. The duration of the internship is 6 months.How You’ll Make An ImpactConduct literature review on the impact of impurities on epoxy resinsDevelop experimental plans to investigate the effects of any impurities on dielectric propertiesCharacterize the chemical and physical properties of the samples.Analyze the structure-property relationships of fillers and propertiesPrepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findingsYour backgroundEnrolled in a Master’s degree program in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related fieldStrong understanding of polymer chemistry and materials science principlesBasic knowledge in thermoset polymersExperience with laboratory techniques including sample preparation, characterization, and testingHands on experience on the casting of materials and also on instruments like DSC and rheometerExperience with Dielectric spectroscopy and DC conductivity is a plusAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFluent command of English, both written and spokenAbout UsHitachi Energy offers you interesting tasks in a highly motivated team and an open communication style.
