R & D Manufacturing Integration Manager

We are looking for an R&D Manufacturing Integration Manager to help bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and scalable production. In this role, you’ll work alongside design and systems engineers to turn prototype concepts into manufacturable, repeatable hardware builds. You’ll develop processes, fixtures, and validation methods that ensure new technologies emerging from R&D can be efficiently transitioned into pilot and low-rate production. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and shaping how innovative hardware is brought to life. ABOUT THE JOB You will play a key role in bridging GuRu’s R&D innovations with real-world manufacturability. This position sits at the intersection of engineering and production, supporting the transition of new technologies from concept and prototype through pilot builds and early production. You’ll work closely with design and systems engineers to develop, validate, and refine manufacturing processes that enable GuRu’s next-generation wireless power and drone systems. In addition, you will support the engineering teams in interfacing with key manufacturing partners, ensuring that technical requirements, build processes, and quality standards are clearly defined, implemented, and continuously improved. Your collaboration will help align external production capabilities with GuRu’s evolving R&D needs, enabling smooth integration between internal engineering efforts and external build execution. WHAT YOU'LL DOPartner with R&D and product development teams to ensure seamless transition of new products from design to production.Develop scalable processes to support rapid growth and adapt to a highly dynamic production environment.Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of manufacturing engineers and technical staff from ground up.Work with internal R&D teams to drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles during product development, ensuring smooth scaling into production.Own operational projects end-to-end, from Definition, Solution, to Implementation. You will be handed ambiguous, messy problems with little prescription on how to solve them. We hope this will excite you more than frustrate you. Project manage across many stakeholders and work across functions.   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSMust be a US PersonBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (or related field).7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with 3+ years in a management role preferably in industries such as aerospace, defense, robotics and autonomous systems, or industrial automation and control. Proven track record of scaling manufacturing operations in highly dynamic and fast-paced environments.Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.Strong knowledge of automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies.Experience in developing, implementing, and utilizing digital manufacturing tools for design and analysis.Familiarity with manufacturing processes for DoD systems, including security and compliance considerations.Experience in managing New Product Introduction (NPI) and scaling production for high-growth environments.Working at GuRu Wireless, Inc.
