Check out readily3d.com for further information. To help us with the development of our new modules and products, we are seeking an R&D Optical Engineer (80-100%).  As a member of our company, you will get to meaningfully contribute to the growth of a high-tech company, where the work of each team member has a direct impact on the company’s performance. This is a unique experience with a faster pace and broader range of responsibilities than you will find in any established company. The Job:The main task is the development of new optical modules for our Tomolite 3D printer as well for our new product line. This includes the following aspects:·       Design, prototyping and product development of small series optical systems and modules in the near-UV and visible spectrum (360nm – 750nm),·       Production setup: DFMA, find and evaluate suppliers or contract manufacturers, keep BOM and change records up-to-date,·       Optimizing existing products for continuous quality improvement,Support our customers and the engineering team: this includes troubleshooting issues encountered by customers, designing and testing new hardware modules, testing new software releases.Travel (<10%) worldwide: to suppliers, contract manufacturers, occasional on-site technical support at  the customers’ premises.You:·       A MSc in physics, laser physics, optics, photonics, mechanics or comparable fields – a PhD is also welcome.Proven (>2 years) practical experience in optical design of imaging and non-imaging systems, laser physics and optomechanical design, including optomechanical tolerancing.Knowledge in the production of optical systems is a must. Knowledge in industrialization of optical systems is a big plus.Relevant hands-on experience in assembly and qualification of optical systems.Good knowledge of an optical engineering software like OSLO or Zemax Opticstudio is a must. Knowledge of a CAD software, like Solidworks or Catia is a must.Able to take responsibilities, focus on priorities, and respect deadlines.Proficient in English, spoken and written. Computer skills: At least basic knowledge of Python, for automation and assembly. Advanced knowledge is a big plus. Good knowledge of Git is also a plus. Basic knowledge of Rust and/or C++ is recommended.Conditions:·       Place of work: CH-1066 Epalinges·       Employment rate: 80-100%·       Starting date: as soon as possible
