Job Description

The RCX Sports Foundation works to develop, promote, and implement diversity and inclusion in youth sports as the non-profit arm of RCX Sports. The foundation focuses on expanding youth sports opportunities so all children can experience athletics in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. No child’s circumstance in life should ever keep them from the lifelong benefits of sports. Sports for all.  As the Director of Development for the RCX Sports Foundation, you will lead all fundraising, sponsorship, and donor engagement efforts to advance our mission of empowering youth through sports.

This includes developing and executing comprehensive strategies for corporate sponsorships, major gifts, foundation support, and individual giving, as well as overseeing signature fundraising events and campaigns. You will cultivate and manage donor relationships, leveraging your existing portfolio and network to secure funds and build lasting relationships. A proven leader with deep experience in sports, foundation, or nonprofit fundraising, you bring a performance-driven approach, strong leadership skills, and a passion for fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and community engagement – including direct support for key initiatives such as the Izell Reese Community Center. Job Responsibilities:

Fundraising Strategy & ExecutionDevelop, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive, multi-channel fundraising strategy that maximizes revenue growth and aligns with RCX Sports Foundation’s mission and long-term objectives. Drive sustainable funding through corporate sponsorships, major gifts, annual giving programs, special events, and competitive grant applications. Leverage an existing network of donors and sponsors while actively cultivating new relationships to expand the organization’s reach and impact. Establish clear revenue targets, track progress against goals, and adapt strategies to ensure fundraising success.

Corporate Sponsorship DevelopmentIdentify, secure, and manage high-value corporate partnerships that align with RCX Sports Foundation programs, community initiatives, and brand values. Create compelling sponsorship packages, customized proposals, and activation plans that deliver measurable ROI for partners while advancing organizational priorities. Negotiate multi-year agreements and secure in-kind contributions that enhance programming capacity, visibility, and community engagement. Donor & Stakeholder EngagementCultivate and steward relationships with local and national donors, foundations, and corporate partners, with a focus on youth access, sports, and education. Manage a dynamic portfolio of individual, foundation, and corporate donors, ensuring exceptional stewardship, personalized engagement, and long-term donor retention.

Represent RCX Sports Foundation at high-profile donor meetings, corporate briefings, philanthropic forums, and community events as a visible ambassador of the organization. Events & Campaign LeadershipLead strategic design, execution, and evaluation of signature fundraising events, including golf tournaments, virtual auctions, and seasonal campaigns. Oversee event planning, budgeting, marketing, and post-event stewardship of all donor-related events. Identify opportunities to innovate event formats and expand participation across diverse donor segments. Operations Excellence & ReportingOversee the use of fundraising platforms, CRM systems, and donor databases to ensure accurate records, timely acknowledgements, and compliance with tax requirements.

Develop and present regular performance reports, forecasts, and strategic insights to the Managing Director and leadership team. Ensure all fundraising operations meet the highest standards of ethical and professional practice. Strategic Initiative Support - Izell Reese Community CenterLead and support targeted fundraising campaigns for the launch, expansion, and sustainability of the Izell Reese Community Center. Collaborate with internal teams, community partners, and donors to align funding priorities with programmatic goals and measurable outcomes. Team Culture DevelopmentChampion a positive, inclusive, and mission-driven team culture that inspires trust, collaboration, and accountability.

Implement efficient processes, clear communication channels, and structured workflows that enhance team productivity and reduce operational bottlenecks. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit management, public administration, communications, or related field from an accredited university (required). Minimum 7 years of prior professional experience in a sports, foundation, non-profit fundraising or development role with oversight of revenue generating activities and financial results through campaign development, events, auctions, and grants (required). Proficiency in using fundraising software and databases to track donor information and manage campaigns.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including youth, parents, schools, organizations, community partners, professional leagues, and corporate sponsors.  Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to non-profits and general understanding of organizations relevant to youth sports.  Passion for supporting underserved youth groups and communities, ideally through the power of sports.   Additional Position Details: Travel: Up to 20% of the time Work Schedule: Full-Time Monday-Friday with some weekends required. Compensation Structure:

This position is a Full-Time Salaried position, paid semi-monthly and is eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus based on employee and Foundation performance. Location: Roswell, GA (RCX Sports Office) Hybrid - This position will regularly work at least 2 days per week on-site at the RCX Sports office in Roswell, GA and may occasionally work from home.
