REACT ENGINEER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a React Engineer with Node.js experience for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Poland. Our client is one of the world's largest food retailers, operating thousands of stores across the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Europe. The company conducts business through multi-format stores and online platforms. It operates stores in various formats, differentiated by size and the range of products sold, including large, small, dot-com only, and one-stop. They offer a wide range of products, including fresh food, drinks, bakery items, groceries, home and entertainment products, baby products, clothing, household appliances, frozen food, pets, health and beauty products, consumer electronics, and electrical goods. It also provides consultancy, retail banking, and insurance services. The company was founded in 1919 and is headquartered in Welwyn Garden City, the UK.The hybrid mode of work includes 2-3 days/week at the Kraków office.Requirements4+ years of experience in commercial software development in JavaScript/TypeScript.Strong knowledge of React.Hands-on experience with Node.js (Express.js).Understanding the Reactive approach.Experience with GitOps.Understanding of micro frontend architecture.Understanding of a single-page application (SPA).Solid experience in testing (e.g., Unit Tests, E2E Tests).Experience in running and supporting software in production (DevOps approach).Problem-solving, analysis, and computational skills. Be comfortable designing systems and reasoning about them. When tackling problems, you take a thorough and logical approach to solving them, and you retain ownership through to resolution.Experience designing and developing systems for high availability and scalability.Experience working within an e-commerce or at-scale business where security, availability, and reliability are valued.Deep experience in software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.Fluency in written & spoken English.ResponsibilitiesBe part of an agile team of industry-leading TypeScript engineers.Solve problems and develop new features through quality, scalable, performant, and maintainable technical solutions.
