Positions in this job are established for greater than 9 months and scheduled for greater than 30 hours per week if the position status is permanent labor (i.e., SCOA 512). Job ResponsibilitiesWe Are Seeking a Motivated Graduate Student To Join Our Team As a REAL Curriculum Implementation Assistant. This Position Offers a Valuable And Unique Opportunity To Gain Hands-on Experience InRapid qualitative research methodsPublic health curriculum developmentDesign and implementation of training programsYou will also be exposed to the critical public health area of HIV case surveillance and cluster detection, and the work of the Georgia Department of Public Health Project Overview: Rapid Qualitative Methods TrainingThis initiative is a collaboration between the Georgia Department of Public Health (GA DPH) and Emory University, supported by the CDC-sponsored C-CORE project.Goal: Equip GA DPH state and local health teams with skills in Rapid Qualitative Assessment to strengthen HIV cluster response efforts.You’ll work closely with Prof. Claudia Ordóñez (qualitative methods expert) to support the development and delivery of a customized Rapid Qualitative Methods (RQM) training program for public health professionals. What You’ll GainPractical experience in curriculum implementationMentorship from a qualitative methods expert Exposure to real-world public health challengesOpportunities to contribute to impactful HIV prevention effortsMinimum Qualifications Position ResponsibilitiesAssist Prof. Ordóñez in developing and implementing the RQM curriculumReview project documents for accuracy and clarityAttend weekly 1-hour virtual meetings with GA DPH and Emory teamsCollect and organize project-related dataSupport planning and delivery of a 3-day RQM training (2 in-person days + ½ day online)Location: Georgia locality outside Atlanta (TBD)Travel expenses covered by GA DPHCommit to working:5 hours/week during the academic year20 hours during the training week in Spring 2026 Qualifications and ?
