Peakhill Equity Partners is affiliated with Peakhill Capital, a middle-market real estate lending business which originated over CAD $1 billion of loans in 2021.JOB OVERVIEWPeakhill Equity Partners is seeking an entrepreneurial Associate or experienced Analyst to join our team with an opportunity for rapid professional growth in a dynamic and growing company. The Associate/Analyst will support the Managing Director and Vice President in all facets of the Peakhill Equity Partners business, with a particular focus on underwriting and execution of new investments in development and value-add projects and asset management of existing investments.Key Responsibilities:Take a leadership role in the preparation of underwriting for new investments, including conducting market analyses, preparing comprehensive financial models, and presenting recommendations regarding potential opportunities to senior managementPrepare investment memoranda for both the internal investment committee as well as prospective external equity partners and lendersManage due diligence efforts including physical and environmental investigations, survey, title, and legal documentation as well as post-closing activitiesOversee ongoing asset management responsibilities, including investor reporting, attending OAC and partnership meetings, site visitsWork closely with senior management on capital raising efforts for the business, including preparation of offering materials, investor presentations, and coordination of investor due diligenceBuild a network within the industry through networking events, meetings, and involvement in real estate trade organizationsQualifications:Undergraduate degree in a related field is required; a graduate degree (MBA or Masters in Real Estate Development); and/or professional designation such as the CFA or CPA is desirable but not requiredMinimum 1-3 years of work experience in the real estate industry, preferably with exposure to real estate acquisitions, investments, investment banking and/or developmentProficient user of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for financial analysis and Word/PowerPoint to prepare offering memoranda and other professional presentationsAbility to conduct and synthesize market research, with exposure to and knowledge of a range of asset classes and geographical markets across Canada and the United States considered an assetThrives under pressure and enjoys contributing to team goals while having the ability to independently manage multiple tasks and problem solve with strong attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skills with an interest in building industry relationshipsPassion for Real Estate Organized, analytical, has a positive attitude, takes initiative
