The Role (What’s In The Box)We are looking for a Recipe Developer to join the Culinary Team in our Nordics office, in Copenhagen. As Recipe Developer, you will be responsible for the ideation and implementation of new recipes for the HelloFresh menu. The team operates on weekly recipe sprints. Working with customer preference learnings and within category guardrails you will be responsible for ideating, writing, creating and testing new HelloFresh recipes through an agile methodology. Our ideal applicant is a foodie, creative, agile and process-driven, with experience in a food-related business. They have the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. They are able to think like a customer and change perspectives to effectively interpret business and consumer needs.What You’ll Do (The Recipe)You will …Ideate new recipes: starting from existing guardrails, budget, performance data and a clear brief, you will create new concepts for our menu (approx. 5 new recipes per week). You will also ensure they can be realistically achieved, and will be enjoyed, by our customers regardless of their cooking skills.Write recipes: formulate recipe instructions, to ensure they adhere to internal style guides and methods, ensuring they are easy to understand and implement from a customer perspective.Cook recipes: test cook new recipes on a weekly basis in our on-site test kitchen.Collaborate with the Recipe Testing team: have an ongoing dialogue with recipe testers, by handing over new concepts, and reworking recipes based on their feedback and observations.Understand customer feedback: every week, read recipe comments and insights, to gather insights on how to develop or rework recipes that fit with customers’ needs.Participate in tastings on new recipes, ingredients and cooking methods, giving feedback on their adherence to our current recipe offering.Utilize your recipe development insights and knowledge to own and execute on quarterly strategic initiative/s aimed at driving improvements to the recipe development process or supporting product initiatives from a culinary perspective.Please note - this role will include tasting and eating our recipes so will not be suitable for anyone with food intolerances, allergies, or dietary requirements.What You’ll Bring (Your Ingredients)You have …±2 years of relevant experience plus a Culinary degree or a degree in Food, Nutrition or Sensory SciencesGood working knowledge of Excel/Google SheetsA collaborative attitude and are able to work well with diverse opinions and competing prioritiesStrong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder’s expectationsAbility to be creative yet take full consideration of specific guardrails and restrictionsA flexible mindset and excitement to work in a fast-paced environment with constant changeA self-starter and highly-organized mindset, getting tasks done with a high degree of excellenceThe ability to work in sprints, ensuring timely execution of your weekly tasks at a constant drumbeat, seeking alignment with other colleagues in the teamExcellent command of the English language is a must.
