Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY The Recovery Specialist is a full-time position that coordinates between other SHRC personnel and assists staff as needed. Must be available and qualified to provide billable recovery coaching sessions with center members. Facilitate parenting education sessions and fulfill contractual FO (Facilitating Organization) obligations as outlined in contract. Must work to establish and develop relationships in the Seacoast community with the objective of forming partnerships that help promote and advance SHRC's mission and core values. Be familiar with the funded contracts/budget and Facilitating Organization expectations. Assist supervisor as needed and manage/implement data systems as requested. Coordinate and schedule volunteers with at least one volunteer on site at all times during working hours. Assist in developing volunteer corps program.Responsibilities Facilitate weekly parenting and/or recovery groups, check in with participants and provide one on one support when needed, coordinate, schedule and conduct intakes for these individual sessions. Ensure each member has proper consent, comprehensive intake, BARC-10 and quality of documented and securely retained. Understand and apply 42 CFR Part II to recovery community practice setting. Coordinate weekly mutual aid meetings ensuring adequate participation and facilitator communication. Update social media platforms in accordance with daily schedule and special events. Responsible in providing community outreach that will encourage new participants in advance of ongoing meetings and recovery programming as particular meeting format deems appropriate. Keep current and accurate data, including but not limited to documentation pertaining to program participation, new members, center activities, special events and peer support services. QualificationsRequired Education and Job Experience CRSW. High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. At least three years’ experience in the field or an equivalent of higher education in the fields of social work, psychology, human services, or sociology. Good interpersonal skills, non-judgmental attitude. Professional appearance and conduct. Personal and driving background checks. Well-written and spoken. Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of network and computer systems. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Knowledge of Organization’s mission, vision and goals and execution of policies and procedures. Clearly and persuasively communicate, listen, and seek clarification; participate in meetings, write clearly and informatively. Initiative - Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team; exhibit sound and accurate judgment, including prioritization and time management skills. Able to provide support to multiple team members simultaneously. Ensuring that one’s own and others’ work and information are complete and accurate; carefully preparing for meetings, events, and presentations; following up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled.
