The PositionThe Legal Manager will be a part of the Legal team and will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The position's basic vision is to address and resolve all regulatory, compliance and legal issues arising from the operations in the assigned areas of focus, i. e.
, provide legal support and guidance and assess that the regulations and the commercial communication, responsible gaming, development plans, products, contracts, and any other activities are in alignment with the legal and regulatory framework, proposing the necessary modifications and adjustments. Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssesses any change of the regulatory framework or OPAP Group guidelines and informs all relevant parties for their compliance & support them when neededMonitors and reviews processes ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory framework, as well as Group guidelinesSafeguards GDPR responsibility and liaison with OPAP S. A.
Reviews and validates compliance with Regulatory and Corporate standardsActs as a liaison for OPAP CYPRUS & SPORTS with relevant authorities Acts as the liaison with OPAP S. A.
Legal Team on Legal and Regulatory issuesPromotes RG & SG, process and create relevant reporting towards authorities and peovides support to all teams for its accurate executionClose collaboration with AML departmentBe responsible for overviewing and monitoring of all legal documents/ contractsResponds to ad-hoc assignments to meet business needs that are not specifically or previously described and are related to the content of current job and the personal skills and capabilitiesSkills/ Qualifications/ ExperienceBSc and MSc in Law8+ years of experience in a managerial / senior position within a leading major law office or organization (corporate, intellectual property, regulatory)Very good knowledge of the regulatory frameworkVery good knowledge of the commercial and retail network operationsExperience in the management of legal cases (e.
