Redstone Commodity Search are working with a major metal producer looking to hire a Health and Safety Manager to join the team in Mosjøen. Key Responsibilities / TasksLead and oversee all Health & Safety (HS) activities, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies. Develop, implement, and continuously improve HS plans, systems, and fatality prevention measures.
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Coach and develop HS team members and promote a strong safety culture across the plant. Manage emergency preparedness, crisis communication, and regulatory reporting. Role reports to Plant managerKey Qualifications / Experience Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, engineering, or related field. Qualified Health & Safety Professional with at least 10 years’ HS experience, including 5+ years in a similar industrial leadership role. Strong track record in implementing HS systems, driving cultural change, and coaching teams. Able to build effective relationships with regulators, unions, contractors, and community stakeholders.
Fluent in Norwegian and English. Located or willing to relocate to Norway
