Position OverviewJob Title: Reference Data Analyst, ASLocation: Pune, IndiaRole DescriptionThe Reference Data Analyst supports regulatory reporting by performing daily data aggregation for 'party' records.This role executes established data quality controls and maintains meticulous process documentation, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.They assist the regulatory reporting team, help resolve issues by collaborating with stakeholders and contribute to process improvements for data accuracy and efficiency.These services are crucial for supporting the organization's data outputs and operational integrity.What We’ll Offer YouAs part of our flexible scheme, here are just some of the benefits that you’ll enjoyBest in class leave policyGender neutral parental leaves100% reimbursement under childcare assistance benefit (gender neutral)Sponsorship for Industry relevant certifications and educationEmployee Assistance Program for you and your family membersComprehensive Hospitalization Insurance for you and your dependentsAccident and Term life InsuranceComplementary Health screening for 35 yrs. and aboveYour Key ResponsibilitiesExecute daily data aggregation tasks for diverse 'party' data, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of datasets to reporting teams, following defined SLAs.Perform comprehensive data quality checks, validation rules, and control procedures on incoming and aggregated party data to identify and log errors.Assist in maintaining control reports and dashboards to monitor data quality metrics and pipeline health, supporting continuous oversight of data integrity.Investigate and document identified data discrepancies, quality issues, or aggregation failures within party records, tracking their impact diligently.Support collaboration with source system owners and IT to facilitate resolution of identified data defects at their origin, ensuring corrective actions.Maintain and update operational runbooks, process documentation, and data lineage, ensuring compliance with banking policies and regulatory standards.Provide support as a point of contact for reporting teams, offering clarification, issue updates, and assisting with data quality status communication.Assist in identifying and documenting improvements to existing data aggregation processes, tools, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Your Skills And ExperienceDomain Skills Over 5 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry, with 3+ year focused on data management or reference data.Basic understanding of diverse banking product data (deposits, loans, cards) and their relationships with customer and account party records.Familiarity with critical banking reference data including currency codes, LEIs, and branch codes, supporting accurate record aggregation.Awareness of financial services data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their implications for sensitive party data handling.Foundational understanding of key financial reporting requirements (Basel III, IFRS, CCAR) and how aggregated data contributes.Ability to assist in identifying data-related risks (quality, security, non-compliance) impacting financial reporting and critical submissions.Familiarity with internal audit requirements, data governance frameworks, and basic operational risk controls within banking.Proficiency in creating MI Reporting using advanced Excel functions and assisting with data visualizations in tools like Tableau.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of understanding and contributing to breaking down complex data situations.Ability to foster trust and collaborate effectively within a team, demonstrating good communication skills with various stakeholders.Communication SkillsStrong stakeholder management skills across various seniority levelsGood verbal and written communication skills at all levels - onshore & remoteAbility to visualise complex topics to converse with stakeholders.Technical SkillsExpert at data identification, validation, correction and reconciliation.Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is a mustSoft SkillsAbility to work independently and take ownershipFlexibility to handle multiple parallel projects / engagementsAbility and interest to adopt to new requirements and new data domains (e.g. switching from a Party reference to a Credit Risk requirement)Educational Qualification Degree in any subject or business managementHow We’ll Support YouTraining and development to help you excel in your careerCoaching and support from experts in your teamA culture of continuous learning to aid progressionA range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your needsAbout Us And Our TeamsPlease visit our company website for further information:https://www.db.com/company/company.htmlWe strive for a culture in which we are empowered to excel together every day.
