We connect insurers, startups, technology providers, and thought leaders to accelerate transformation and collaboration across the Irish and global insurance ecosystem.Role DescriptionInstech.ie is seeking passionate, community-minded leaders to serve as Regional Insurtech Ambassadors. This pro bono role is designed to activate and grow local insurtech and insurance-innovation ecosystems across Ireland, connecting them into Instech.ie’s national cluster. Ambassadors will leverage the strength of the broader community to stimulate collaboration, foster innovation, and support the development of a vibrant, nationwide network. A small stipend is provided to help cover costs associated with hosting local events.Key ResponsibilitiesCommunity Building:Cultivate and grow a local community of stakeholders interested in insurtech and insurance innovation.Act as a visible, trusted point of contact for Instech.ie in your region.Events & Ecosystem Activation:Plan, organise, and host local meetups, workshops, or networking events (supported by a small stipend).Identify opportunities to showcase regional talent, startups, and innovative solutions.Networking & Engagement:Build relationships across insurers, brokers, MGAs, reinsurers, startups, investors, academia, and service providers.Facilitate connections between regional stakeholders and the national Instech.ie cluster.Represent Instech.ie at relevant local industry events.Ecosystem Intelligence:Surface regional insights on emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities.Share local success stories and highlight developments into the broader Instech.ie platform.Collaboration & Promotion:Champion a culture of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and open innovation.Promote Instech.ie initiatives, programmes, and events within your region.Candidate ProfileDeep interest or background in the insurance, insurtech, or innovation space.A natural community builder with strong networking and communication skills.Passionate about collaboration, ecosystem development, and supporting emerging innovators.Comfortable organising and facilitating events, workshops, or informal gatherings.Proactive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic about contributing to Ireland’s national innovation agenda.EligibilityThis role is open to all stakeholders across the insurance and insurtech ecosystem, including:Industry professionals (insurers, brokers, MGAs, reinsurers)Startup founders or team membersInvestorsConsultants and service providersAcademics and innovation leadsAnyone with a genuine passion for innovation and community-buildingWhat We ProvideA small events support stipend to help cover local meetup costs.Access to Instech.ie’s national network, programmes, thought leadership, and platforms.Opportunities to collaborate with Ireland’s leading innovators, insurers, and technology partners.A unique role at the forefront of shaping Ireland’s national insurtech and insurance innovation landscape.Impact of the RoleBy activating regional ecosystems, Ambassadors will help Instech.ie build a truly national cluster, ensuring that innovation thrives in every part of Ireland.
