Regional People Business Partner - TbM EUR Operations

Job Description

The TBM (Transportation Business Management) team in the Europe region comprises approximately 1,300 colleagues, distributed across 33 countries and representing 54 nationalities. This region is critical for TBM operations, playing a pivotal role in the success of the Gemini project. Over the past 2.5 years, the TBM People Business Partner (PBP) role has expanded significantly, tripling in size due to the integration of several teams into EUR TBM, such as Sealand, TBM L&S product operations from Area CX, and Depots. This role collaborates with the EUR TBM PP Focal and PPs across Areas to offer effective partnership to over 160 leaders within EUR TBM.Key Responsibilities:This role involves strategic alignment of people strategies with business goals and objectives. PBPs work closely with senior leaders to establish collaborative and consultative relationships, which includes:Consulting and coachingEnabling business changeAdvocating for people solutionsPartnering with business, talent management, and recruiting colleagues on key talent initiatives (e.g., workforce planning, high-potential talent development, succession planning, etc.)You will lead our business leaders through the employee lifecycle, including making hire/fire decisions, coaching/mentoring, task coordination, performance appraisal, pay reviews, and development for future assignments. These responsibilities supplement job-specific accountabilities such as:Setting direction and developing business & operational areasDeveloping policies & practicesImplementing business plansThe planning horizon varies from short to long-term depending on career stage, with goal achievement typically accomplished through the performance of direct and/or indirect reports. Progression within this stream reflects the acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities.This role allows you to contribute to wider decision-making, including the development of practices, processes, and procedures.Leaders at this level develop departmental plans based on functional strategy and execute them through a team of professionals.
