Position: Regional Sales Director - Central Location: United States - Field Based in:Oklahoma City, OKLittle Rock, ARShreveport, LANew Orleans, LAMemphis, TNNashville, TNBirmingham, ALType of position: Rare Disease (Cardiology / Rheumatology) | Full-Time | Leadership Role | Biotech / Specialty PharmaWe are seeking a Regional Sales Director (RSD) to lead, coach, and inspire a team of Clinical Sales Specialists (CSS) focused on educating healthcare providers about recurrent pericarditis and treatment options for eligible patients.Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales, the RSD will drive regional performance by developing strategic account plans, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring flawless execution of sales and educational initiatives. This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role within a growing biopharmaceutical organization focused on improving the lives of patients living with rare and serious diseases.Key Responsibilities:Recruit, train, develop, and lead a diverse team of 8–10 Clinical Sales Specialists.Drive regional strategy to achieve and exceed sales goals and performance metrics.Lead customer targeting, territory planning, and account management across the region.Partner cross-functionally with medical, marketing, and market access teams to optimize performance.Gather and communicate field insights to inform commercial strategy and execution.Manage regional budgets and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.Develop and maintain strong relationships with key thought leaders and institutions.Provide consistent coaching, field rides, and professional development discussions with team members.Evaluate team performance and provide constructive, behavior-based feedback.Ensure full compliance with all applicable healthcare laws, codes, and ethical standards.Travel approximately 75–80% of the work week (by air or car).Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s Degree required.Minimum 10 years of experience leading pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales teams.Proven track record of exceeding regional or national sales goals.Strong background in cardiology and/or rheumatology preferred.Rare Disease experience strongly preferred.Experience with injectable products and specialty pharmacy / HUB dynamics required.Solid understanding of reimbursement processes and healthcare market access.Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.Experience in Marketing, Sales Operations, or related support functions is a plus.Desire to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.Why Join?This is a unique opportunity to join an organization that’s shaping the future of rare disease care - where your leadership directly impacts patients, providers, and the broader mission to bring innovative therapies to those in need.
