Please see linked salary scale for the full range.RoleThe Registrar has the primary responsibility for providing clerical support to Guidance Department staff within an assigned school.Essential FunctionsAdvises and supports central and school staff on coordinate enrollment process.Advises and supports central and school staff on tuition processing.Advises and supports central and school staff on income verification procedures and documentation.Maintains current and accurate personal and school-related information on students via the student information system.Provides proper enrollment forms and information to parents or student guardians.Helps to coordinate student enrollment and withdrawal procedures.Requests student records from the other schools and/or other departments.Enters Maryland School Assessments (MSA) scores into electronic student information system.Processes all student records from electronic student information system/erase schedule.Collects bubble sheets from teachers for interim report cards and checks for accuracy.Processes or copies interim report cards and makes all needed corrections in electronic student information system.Prints reports for Guidance Counselors using electronic student data reporting system.Makes changes to student schedules using electronic student information system.Answers telephone, takes messages, greets visitors, makes appointments, and provides information.Types and enters data for letters, schedules, reports, forms, and other materials.Uses automated purchasing system, student information system, and substitute calling system.Maintains proficiency in the use of office technology to meet administrative needs.Maintains filing systems, student records, attendance reports, logs, and field trip records.Collects money for various school purposes and keeps appropriate records of such funds.Orders and receives supplies and checks invoices.Assists in maintaining property accountability.Assists in scheduling use of facility.Composes routine correspondence.Distributes mail and supplies.Performs other duties consistent with the scope and nature of the position.Education/Training/ExperienceRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).Three (3) years of clerical experience.Certification/LicenseNone.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesKnowledge and use of culturally responsive practices.Demonstrated proficiency in business math.Demonstrated proofreading skills.Demonstrated ability to effectively use word processing, database, spreadsheet, and email software.Management and organizational skills which demonstrate an ability to prioritize, work under time constraints, and demonstrate flexibility in an environment of multiple tasks and shifting priorities.Ability to handle confidential and highly sensitive information in a professional manner.Advanced oral and written communications.Ability to build trust and maintain relationships.Regular and predictable attendance.Capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.Physical RequirementsAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, as needed.Ability to speak in an understandable voice with sufficient volume to be heard in normal conversation and on the telephone and in addressing groups.Ability to travel to school and other local locations, as well as state meetings, sometimes with little notice.Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.Ability to spend long hours sitting.Ability to reach with hands and arms.Sufficient manual dexterity to grasp, handle, manipulate, and/or feel objects and use office technology.Sufficient mobility to move about the work area.Sufficient vision to read and comprehend printed materials, see distant objects with clarity, and identify and distinguish objects.Sufficient hearing to hear and comprehend conversations in person and on the telephone, as well as distinguish sounds up to twenty (20) feet.Occasionally climb or balance.Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Occasionally lift fifteen (15) pounds.Work EnvironmentModerate noise (examples: classroom and office environment with computers, printers, and telephones;
