comThe RoleThe Stores & Facilities Coordinator will support the effective delivery of training by providing effective service and management of the stores, assets and facility maintenance. The role is responsible for overseeing the upkeep and smooth operation of stores, fleet and facilities, including managing maintenance, repairs, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Stores & Facilities Coordinator will be required to maintain adequate levels of stock to meet demands for staff and students including ordering through suppliers and vendors.
The role also provides support services in relation to safety practices and the handling and disposal of hazardous materials, operating within the Pacific Australia Skills purchasing standards and policies. Roles And Responsibilities Ensure adequate stock levels by recording, spot checking and stocktaking of training resources and consumables. Manage the procurement of goods and services that presents the best value for money.
Ensure a record of plant, machinery, equipment and tools stored in the storerooms, classrooms and workshops; and carry out quarterly stock take of the same and collaborate with the Operations Manager to include all new assets in the asset management software. Inspect and evaluate facilities, workplace environment, equipment, and practices for compliance with health, safety standards and regulations. Ensure that machinery, equipment and tools are safe and in good working order with unsafe equipment tagged out for repair or disposal.
Plan and oversee periodic servicing and maintenance of plant, machinery, equipment and electrical tools and work in liaison with the Operations Manager on the annual audit and stock take and testing and tagging of the plant, machinery, equipment and electrical tools. Provide sound and timely advice, guidance and support to other staff, contractors and stakeholders ensuring activities are followed in accordance with OH&S rules and regulations. Selection CriteriaEssential Experience And Knowledge Demonstrated experience in procurement, asset & stock management and managing service contractors.
Demonstrated ability in the control of a multi-purpose trades store and ability to work unsupervised and demonstrated the capacity to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines. Demonstrated good interpersonal skills, including sound written and verbal communication skills; and proficient with Microsoft office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Proven capacity to exercise sound judgement and demonstrated experience maintaining a high level of service standards, being methodical and ability to adhere to work instructions, policies and processes. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a small and dedicated team, across multiple sites.
