Remote Senior Accountant (UK-Based Clients)About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced practice based accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UK accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating remotely and managing a team.RequirementsQualifications: CA/ACCA qualified; experience in accounts preparation is mandatory.Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of remote work with UK-based accounting firms.Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with major bookkeeping and accounting softwares such as TaxCalc, Xero, FreeAgent, Sage Line 50 and QuickBooks.Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of VAT, accounting principles, and UK tax regulations.Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).Ability to liaise with clients via email and respond to queries professionally.Remote Work Setup: Experience using MS Teams and other collaboration tools.Firm's working hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (UK time). All team members are expected to be available during this period.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare financial statements in compliance with UK accounting standards (FRS 105, FRS 102 1A, and full FRS 102).Maintain and update bookkeeping records on Xero, Sage Line 50, and other cloud platforms.Process financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and ensure accuracy in the general ledger.Assist in financial reporting, trend analysis, and providing insights to management.Manage VAT workings, reconciliations, and VAT return preparation.Basic knowledge of UK tax and payroll is an advantage.Audit experience would be a plus.Stay up to date with accounting principles, tax regulations, and industry best practices.Job DetailsType: Full-time Salary: PKR 250,000 – PKR 300,000 per monthLocation: RemoteOnly candidates with current experience in UK-based accounting firms will be considered.If you meet the above criteria and are ready to work with UK-based clients in a dynamic remote environment, we’d love to hear from you!
