Our international clients are comprised of key venture capital firms, UHNW groups, institutions, multi-family offices and fund / asset managers primarily in the GCC.About the RoleThe Reporting Analyst will be responsible for preparing accurate, timely, and insightful client financial reports, with a focus on investment portfolio performance, Net Asset Value (NAV) updates, and reconciliations. This is a highly hands-on role that involves processing accounting entries, reconciling transactional data, and maintaining detailed records on a daily basis. The position also requires close collaboration with internal teams, including Coverage, IT, and Finance, as well as external consultants. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial reporting processes, and the ability to contribute to system enhancements and process improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesMonthly Reporting:Process and post bank statements, portfolio statements, accruals, and capital activity data (capital calls, distributions, new investments, and exits).Update Net Asset Value (NAV) for client portfolios.Perform reconciliation of financial figures with investment balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.Liaise with the Client Coverage team to gather updates on portfolio movements and other client-specific developments.Maintain data accuracy and consistency across systems used for reporting.Quarterly Reporting:Post and update NAV data for direct and indirect investments (including SPVs).Conduct reconciliations of investment data and validate performance metrics such as IRR and MOIC.Participate in quarterly review cycles and ensure completeness of financial and portfolio reports.Data Validation and Reconciliation:Perform asset class and investment-wise validation and reconciliation of data migrated into the new accounting systemValidate key performance metrics in Power BI dashboards integrated with accounting software.Reconcile investment commitment values between Salesforce and Power BI to ensure data consistency across platforms.Ad Hoc and Project-Based Tasks:Assist with ad hoc analysis and reporting requests from senior management and internal stakeholders.Support internal and external audits by providing relevant data and documentation.Collaborate on continuous process improvement initiatives for reporting accuracy, system integration, and workflow efficiency.Coordinate with IT, Finance, Coverage teams, and external consultants for automation and enhancement of reporting processes.Basic RequirementsMaster’s degree in Finance and Accounting or or professional certifications (ACCA, CA, CPA) fully qualified preferred, though will consider CA finalists as well2–4 years of experience in financial reporting, investment analysis, or related roles in asset management, private equity, or financial services.Candidates with a blend of Big Four and industry experience will be highly preferred.Strong knowledge of investment concepts (NAV, IRR, MOIC), portfolio structures (including SPVs), and financial reconciliation techniques.Proficiency in financial reporting tools and accounting systems; experience with Microsoft Power BI, Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce, and portfolio management software is a plus.Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data migration and validation.Key Competencies:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments.Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
