RESEARCH ANALYSIST - IR Job Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Research Worker to support our legal team by conducting in-depth research on legal articles, academic journals, case law, and relevant publications. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a background or interest in legal studies, public policy, or academic research. This role is crucial in providing accurate, up-to-date, and relevant information to aid legal arguments, case preparation, and strategy development.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive legal research on a variety of topics using academic journals, law reviews, legal databases, and public records.Analyze and summarize complex legal texts, scholarly articles, and precedents.Prepare clear and concise research reports, memos, and bibliographies for attorneys and partners.Monitor recent publications, legal developments, and trends relevant to ongoing cases or practice areas.Maintain organized records of research findings and source materials.Assist in proofreading and fact-checking legal documents and publications.Collaborate with legal teams to identify research needs and priorities.Qualifications:Master / M-Phill in Sociology /  Political Science, Legal Studies, or a related field (or currently enrolled in a law program).Prior experience in legal research, academic writing, or working with legal databases (Westlaw, LexisNexis, JSTOR, HeinOnline, etc.) is highly preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with citation styles (e.g., OSCOLA, MLA).Knowledge of legal terminology and processes.Experience with content analysis or literature reviews in a legal context.Working Conditions:Hybrid/Remote options may be available depending on the firm's policies.May involve tight deadlines and handling multiple research assignments simultaneously
