UNJUST’s work spans Research, Policy and Advocacy; Learning and Development Services; and Legal Redress.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role based in the United Kingdom for a Research and Policy Lead. The role involves conducting in-depth research, developing evidence-based policies, and providing strategic recommendations to challenge discriminatory policing practices. The Research and Policy Lead will analyse data, prepare reports, coordinate with stakeholders, and lead advocacy efforts aimed at systemic change. Responsibilities also include monitoring emerging trends in the criminal justice field, managing projects, and contributing to training and development initiatives.QualificationsStrong skills in Research, Data Analysis, and Report Writing.Expertise in Policy Development, Evidence-Based Recommendations, and Strategic Planning.Proficiency in Stakeholder Engagement, Collaborative Working, and Advocacy.Excellent Communication, Presentation, and Project Management abilities.A solid understanding of systemic issues in the criminal justice system, particularly related to racial equity.A degree or equivalent experience in Public Policy, Criminology, Social Justice, or related fields.Experience managing multiple priorities and working within diverse communities is highly valued.
