The Behavioural Science team at the Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant (Level A) to join our cutting-edge team.In this research-only academic role, you’ll collaborate on diverse projects focussed on injury prevention and safety science, applying behavioural science methodologies to solve complex problems. From conducting literature reviews and preparing ethics applications, to engaging with stakeholders and collecting data through surveys and naturalistic driving studies, your work will be integral to shaping safer communities.What you’ll do:Contribute to high-impact research under expert guidancePrepare reports and presentations for government and industry stakeholdersDesign and conduct participant studies, including innovative naturalistic driving studies Analyse data with precision and integrity using tools like SPSSSupport grant and tender submissions for major research initiativesWhat we’re looking for:A background in behavioural science, psychology, or human factorsStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsProven experience in data collection, analysis, and academic writingA keen eye for detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindsetAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with confidenceWhether you have completed an Honours degree or a doctoral qualification, this is your opportunity to grow your research career in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.About Monash UniversityAt Monash, work feels different.
