Would you like to contribute to interdisciplinary research on policy aspects of personalised prevention and digitalization of health? Law for Health and Life (LHL) at the University of Amsterdam (UvA), is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated researcher with a completed Master’s degree to play a supporting role in our European Project in personalized prevention, to work on the final deliverables of this project.Working at the UvAJoin our team!Law for Health and Life is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support ongoing research projects within the Digital Health research group. The successful candidate will work closely with research staff to contribute to data collection, analysis, literature review, and report preparation.A good salary Your salary will be determined on the basis of your experience and seniority, in accordance with the Labour agreement. Your grading and therefore the amounts mentioned are based on full employment of 38 hours per week. 232 vacation hours We also offer parental leave, partner leave and social engagement leave. Through the Employment Conditions Menu Card, there are opportunities for even more vacation hours.Financial arrangements On top of your salary, you receive holiday allowance (8%) and a year-end bonus (8.3%). You build up a good pension with ABP. Including the IDCN-network which provides support for your spouse through various training sessions, social activities, and networking events.Key ResponsibilitiesAll about this vacancyAssist in the design and implementation of research studies.Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings.Collect, clean, and analyze quantitative and/or qualitative data.Prepare reports, presentations, and manuscripts for publication.Support administrative and logistical aspects of research projects.Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain clear documentation of all work.RequirementsMaster’s degree in relevant fields, e.g., Social Sciences, Law or Biomedical Sciences. Strong analytical and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Prior research experience is an asset.What We Offer YouAn engaging and supportive research environment with opportunities for professional growth and academic collaboration. The position is for 1.0 fte and for six months. The position as researcher will start on 1 January 2026 or if particular reasons justify it, as soon as possible thereafter. The gross full-time monthly salary will be in accordance with the salary scales for a junior researcher at Dutch universities, scale 10 (Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities) ranging from €3.546 to €5.538 gross per month (full-time equivalent). Secondary benefits at Dutch universities are attractive and include 8% holiday pay and an 8.3% end-of-year Bonus.Your place at the UvAWhere you will workThe Health Law section is part of the Public Law Department and provides education and research in the field of health law. Staff members of the section teach in the Master's programme in Health Law. The research conducted by the members of the section is housed at the LHL.
