We cannot provide advice to candidates at the application stage and will only discuss visa routes with candidates who are invited to interview.The successful candidate will join a research team at the University of Reading (PI: Prof. Ludovica Serratrice) and the University of Greenwich (Co-I: Dr Alessandra Valentini, PDRA: Dr Stephanie Martin Vega) working on the UKRI-funded project Predictors of listening and reading comprehension in multilingual and monolingual children: do text type and modality matter?The project investigates Year 3 multilingual and monolingual children’s comprehension of fiction and non-fiction oral and written texts in English.This is a full-time post for 17 months, starting in January 2026. Data collection will take place in person at three primary schools within the same Learning Trust in Newham, East London.The role will normally involve work during school hours (8:30 a.m. 3:30 p.m.) for testing sessions.
