At CERP, we also deploy cutting edge pedagogy tailored for Pakistan and provide data insights to the private sector on product and process design.Program DescriptionThe National Science Bowl Pakistan (NSBP) is a nationwide competition, inspired by the U.S. Science Bowl, that challenges high school students to expand and apply their knowledge of STEM subjects. It brings together talented students from across the country to compete in fast-paced, buzzer-style quiz rounds that test both individual expertise and collaborative problem-solving.PositionThe Research Associate for the National Science Bowl Pakistan (NSBP) will play a central role in supporting the Principal Investigators (PIs) with the design, implementation, and evaluation of a randomized controlled trial (RCT) that assesses the impact of the NSBP. The role will primarily focus on research activities, including data collection, management, and analysis, while also contributing to the production of reports and presentations. In addition to research responsibilities, the Research Associate will provide general support for NSBP’s ongoing activities and initiatives.Job Description and ResponsibilitiesResearch and Impact Assessment:Designing data collection toolsManaging and maintaining a data repositoryCleaning administrative and survey dataWorking with PIs to conduct econometric analysesPreparing technical reports as and when requiredOther tasks as assigned by the PIs Project CoordinatorQualifications:Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Policy, Education, or related fieldsWilling to engage in fieldworkExcellent communication skills (both oral and written) in English and UrduExcellent management and organizational skillsExperience with conducting quantitative researchKnowledge of Stata, R, Python, or Matlab requiredPrevious experience with using Qualtrics or other survey tools preferredAbility to work independently
