The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.Job SummaryAlbany State University invites applicants for a Research Associate position supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The successful candidate will join an active research program focused on computational modeling of biomolecular systems. This is a full-time research appointment with an initial term of one year, with the possibility of renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance and continued funding.Sponsorship is not available for this position.ResponsibilitiesThe Research Associate will be responsible for conducting independent and collaborative research in computational chemistry and computational biology, with primary duties including:Performing molecular dynamics simulations of ligand-protein systems. Applying computational chemistry methods to investigate biomolecular interactions. Utilizing AI-driven and data-driven approaches to study molecular interactions and structure-function relationships.
