Position descriptionCITIC CLSA is seeking a top calibre research associate to join our equity research team. This is a great opportunity to work on all aspects of equity research in targeted segment/ sector and collaborate with other team members in South Korea. Key areas of responsibilitiesCollaborate directly with analysts on all aspects of equity research, as well as coordinate with other analysts and associatesDevelop and maintain industry databases, perform peer comparisons, and build financial models for companiesPrepare detailed research reports highlighting key findings, investment theses, financial forecasts, catalysts, and valuation analysesConduct thorough due diligence by engaging with company management and industry expertsMonitor industry news and stay updated on company developmentsAssist in conducting comprehensive industry and company researchRespond promptly to sales and client requests for information and analysisParticipate in company briefings, industry events, roadshows, and conferencesRequirementsDegree holder (graduated) in mathematics, statistic, finance or related disciplineMinimum 2 years of full-time relevant experience in equity researchStrong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyse complex financial data and make informed decisionsProficient in financial modelling and different valuation techniques, while embracing innovation and new technologies to enhance the research processSelf-motivated, diligent‎, multi-tasking with high standards for excellence and attention to detailsHighly proficient in excel and good numeracy skillsWell rounded, and a team playerSelf-motivated and able to work under pressureFluency in both written and verbal English, with Chinese language is a plus but not essentialImmediate available is highly preferred
