Interdisciplinary backgrounds are particularly encouraged. To conduct research in one of the following themes under the main theme“Technology for Life Cycle Management (LCM) of Infrastructures”: Simulation of deterioration under combined effects by generic model and modeling of property of deteriorated concrete Development of design/exaction/maintenance method of standard intervention methods Development of new structural material and system Development of new and better intervention methodConditionsPreferably under the age of 35, with PhD degree in relevant discipline (civil engineering or related engineering/science field) with research specializations in technology for life cycle management of infrastructures;Have good English reading and writing abilities for drafting English SCI journal papers independently;Be able to work as a team with good communication, coordination, organization skills;Solid professional knowledge and independent research capability;Published at least 4 SCI journal papers in top SCI journals.Salaries And Other WelfaresA combined annual salary of approximately ¥380,000 to ¥680,000 RMB (gross income), with housing allowance and various types of insurance are provided by Shenzhen University. The exact amount varies according to the applicant’s research background and obtained results;Housing subsidies or accommodations are also provided by the university;During the contract, the associate research fellow can apply for research funding withthe support of the Faculty;Those who meet the requirements of the Guangdong Provincial Special SupportProgram will be granted an additional subsidy of ¥500,000-1,200,000 RMB fromGuangdong Provincial government;Those who meet the requirements of Shenzhen High-level Overseas Talents will begranted a total of housing allowance of ¥1,600,000 RMB during five years;Excellent associate research fellows can apply for assistant/associate professorpositions after the end of the contract;Research awards for publications in top journals and successful NSFC funding;During the contract, the fellow’s family can settle in Shenzhen.
