Job Description Support and help secure world-leading research projects Engaging work that makes a difference, in a great team Exciting opportunity: Advisor or Senior Advisor role available Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the roleWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional for either an Advisor or Senior Advisor role to provide expert support and guidance on externally funded research contracts. In this position, you will collaborate with researchers, management, sponsors, and students to coordinate research funding applications, helping the University maximise its funding opportunities.You will provide high-quality, accurate, and timely advice across all aspects of research funding, including proposal development, budgeting, reporting, and identifying potential funding sources. Your ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders - including funding providers and industry partners - will be key to your success.For a Senior Advisor role, the position also includes providing leadership and oversight of Research & Enterprise processes, supporting the Director of Research and Enterprise, and managing a specific portfolio within the office, such as research information systems, committee support, or other research-related functions.The Advisor role offers a salary range of $71,275 to $84,695 per year, while the Senior Advisor role offers $85,279 to $97,532 per year. Salary will be commensurate with the skills, knowledge, and experience you bring to the position. You will provide high-quality advice and support on research proposals, budgeting, and project management, building strong relationships with researchers, management, sponsors, and students.You will have a relevant tertiary qualification, excellent administrative and project management skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases. Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities, along with attention to detail, are essential.For a Senior Advisor, experience in research or research management (typically 5+ years), leadership capability, and the ability to manage a portfolio or oversee processes is required.
