Research Officer (Electrical & Electronic Engineering)

We invite applications for a Research Officer (E&E) to join our project developing a next-generation 3D printer and furnace system for metal prototyping via additive manufacturing.Responsibilities:Design and develop electronic control boards and power systems.Integrate sensors, actuators, PLC and microcontrollers/FPGA (e.g., STM, Arduino).Simulate control behavior using MATLAB Simulink/Simscape or similar.Collaborate with mechanical and firmware teams to ensure system integration.Preferred background:Degree in Electrical & Electronic / Mechatronic / Industrial Physics.Skilled in eCAD, embedded systems, and control board development.Familiar with CAD tools (Onshape/SolidWorks) and system wiring.Interested in combining hardware design and control theory.Terms:Contract duration: 12 months (includes probation).Continuation: May be considered for absorption after one year.Allowance:Bachelor’s degree holder: RM 2,611/month (gross)*Master’s degree holder: RM 2,783/month (gross)* *The gross amount stated above has not yet been deducted for the employee’s own EPF, SOCSO, and EIS contributions.
