Job DescriptionThe Research Project Specialist plays a pivotal role in advancing the research agenda of the University through effective facilitation, coordination, and management of internal research initiatives within the Research and Sponsored Projects Office. This position requires a highly qualified individual with strong experience in research proposal writing, publications, and patents, who can provide both technical and administrative expertise to support faculty and researchers in achieving impactful outcomes.The Specialist will collaborate closely with academic departments, research centers, and administrative units to ensure that internally funded research projects are well-planned, efficiently executed, and successfully completed within defined timelines and budgetary frameworks. He/She will also contribute to building a strong research culture by supporting high-quality proposal submissions, monitoring research performance, and ensuring compliance with institutional and financial policies. Key Responsibilities Review, update, and enhance guidelines for internal research proposal submissions. Prepare and launch calls for proposals, conduct the initial screening of submitted proposals, and support the external review process. Provide technical and administrative support to researchers in the development of proposals, publications, patents, and other research outputs. Monitor project progress, including budget utilization, deliverables, publications, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with financial and research guidelines. Support the organization and coordination of the University’s participation in major international exhibitions, research forums, and conferences under the Office of the Associate Provost for Research.
