Join our team at Singapore Population Health Studies (SPHS) — a large-scale initiative investigating how lifestyle, physiology, genetics and other biological factors influence health and longevity among Singaporeans.At SPHS, we’re building one of the most comprehensive population health research biobanks in Asia, involving over 50,000 participants across Singapore’s major ethnic groups. Your work will directly contribute to advancing disease prevention and improving healthcare outcomes for generations to come.About the RoleWe’re looking for a meticulous and dedicated professional to support data collection and data review activities within SPHS research projects. You’ll play a key part in performing and analysing carotid ultrasound scans and ensuring the quality and integrity of research data.What You’ll DoObtain informed consent from research participantsPerform carotid ultrasound scans (average turnaround: 15 minutes per scan)Conduct regular quality control, equipment calibration, and maintenance checksReview and verify imaging data for accuracy and consistencyManage consumables inventory and coordinate vendor maintenance schedulesParticipate in periodic reassessment to maintain imaging standardsTrain and supervise new traineesAnalyse images and record intima-media thickness and vascular observationsUphold participant safety, privacy, and ethical research practicesSupport other population health research activities as neededWhat We’re Looking ForDegree or Diploma in Life or Health Sciences, with knowledge of human anatomy or biologyExperience in ultrasound imaging is an advantageStrong interpersonal skills to engage participants and ensure their comfortExcellent teamwork, time management, and service orientationInterest in research within an academic environmentWork Hours:Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri — 7.45am to 6.15pmAlternate Saturdays — 7.45am to 3.15pmWhy Join SPHS?If you enjoy working in an academic research environment, thrive in a collaborative team, and want to contribute to building a national research biobank that supports population health discoveries — this role is for you.Ready to make an impact?
