Job SummaryThe Revenue Officer is responsible for managing and optimizing the hotel’s revenue streams by ensuring accurate pricing, inventory management, and consistent monitoring of performance. This role oversees all Online Travel Agency (OTA) channels, ensuring competitive positioning, timely posting of rates and promotions, and accurate room availability. The Revenue Officer provides data-driven insights to support decision-making, ensures compliance with revenue management standards, and contributes to achieving the hotel’s financial targets.Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue & Pricing ManagementImplement approved pricing strategies across all distribution channels, ensuring consistency with the hotel’s revenue goals.Post and update room rates, packages, and promotions in OTAs, the hotel website, and internal systems.Monitor competitor rates and market trends to ensure the hotel remains competitively positioned.Ensure timely closure and opening of room inventory based on demand forecasts.OTA & Distribution ManagementManage relationships with OTA partners and maintain accurate content, photos, and hotel descriptions on all platforms.Monitor OTA extranet dashboards to ensure rate parity, room availability, and promotion accuracy.Track OTA performance reports and recommend strategies to maximize visibility and sales.Handle rate mapping and troubleshoot connectivity issues with channel managers or PMS.Reporting & AnalysisGenerate daily, weekly, and monthly revenue and occupancy reports to track performance against targets.Provide data insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and business strategy decisions.Analyze booking patterns, guest demographics, and channel performance to recommend revenue optimization strategies.Collaboration & CoordinationWork closely with the Sales, Front Office, and Reservations teams to align on occupancy forecasts and booking strategies.Coordinate with Finance for accurate posting and reconciliation of OTA commissions and payments.Support the Marketing team in aligning promotions and campaigns with revenue strategies.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Finance, or related field.At least 2 years of experience in hotel revenue management, reservations, or OTA management (budget or midscale hotel experience preferred).Strong understanding of OTAs, channel managers, and property management systems (PMS).An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends.Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.CompetenciesAnalytical Thinking: Ability to translate data into actionable revenue strategies.Commercial Awareness: Understands market trends and competitor positioning.Detail Orientation: Ensures accuracy in rates, promotions, and reporting.Collaboration: Works effectively across teams to maximize hotel performance.Adaptability: Can quickly adjust to market shifts and OTA requirements.
