We are seeking a Principal Infrastructure & Cloud Optimization Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing our infrastructure and cloud environments, identifying opportunities for cost optimization, and implementing advanced configurations to enhance performance, cost-efficiency, and resilience. This role requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and infrastructural best practices.

As a core member of the engineering team, you will work closely with application teams and stakeholders to ensure that our infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives to evolve our cloud strategy and drive efficiency across multiple services.

Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive assessments of existing infrastructure and cloud configurations to identify gaps and areas for cost optimizationDevelop and implement best practices and standardized processes for cloud resource usage, ensuring compliance with security standards and budget parametersOptimize cloud and data center deployments for costCollaborate with software development, security, and operations teams to integrate infrastructure and application workflowsMonitor cloud performance metrics, leveraging data analytics, to proactively identify issues and recommend improvementsProvide training and guidance to teams on new cloud technologies and optimization techniquesStay updated on industry trends and introduce new tools and methodologies to the organization whenever applicableRequirements8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure optimization, or a related domain, with a focus on large-scale cloud environmentsStrong expertise with cloud service providers like AWS and Azure, in particular with cost managementExperience with physical data center managementHands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools, including Zabbix, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, and Azure MonitorUnderstanding of networking, security, and virtualization principlesExperience with scripting languages (e.

g. , Python, Bash) and automation frameworksProficient in monitoring and logging tools (e. g. , CloudWatch, Prometheus, or ELK stack)Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a strong ability to analyze performance metrics and engineer solutionsExceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teamsProject management skills to lead initiatives from concept to completion, with a focus on delivering results on time and within budgetDesirable SkillsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesExperience with cloud security best practices and compliance standardsKnowledge of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or DockerCertification in relevant cloud technologies (e.
