Our client, a leading global reinsurer, is seeking a Risk Actuary to lead capital and risk management activities across Property & Casualty and Life & Health portfolios. You’ll oversee the Internal Economic Capital Model, drive capital planning and regulatory deliverables, and influence risk-based decisions at Executive and Board level in a collaborative, international environment.Key ResponsibilitiesInternal Model leadership: Own and coordinate the annual validation programme; review quarterly model results and present findings to the Risk Committee and Board.Capital & ORSA: Lead annual and ad-hoc ORSA production; ensure consistency with the business plan; assess solvency over the planning horizon and evaluate capital management options.Regulatory reporting & governance: Oversee SF calculations, QRTs, RS R/SFCR inputs, EIOPA stress tests, CBI assessments, and preparation of Risk Committee/Board materials.Risk framework & oversight: Maintain the Risk Management Framework, risk registers and controls; review capital, liquidity and risk implications of new business and material model changes.Market, credit & ALM insight: Deliver ALM analyses (IR/FX), emerging risk evaluations, and operational resilience oversight; mentor a small team to high-quality, timely outputs.What You’ll BringQualified actuary with 2+ years’ PQE (risk or capital management experience desirable).Strong technical/analytical skills and familiarity with Solvency II (internal model and/or Standard Formula).Experience across reinsurance (P&C and/or L&H) advantageous.Clear communicator with Board-facing confidence; able to influence and challenge constructively.Organised leader with coaching mindset; comfortable managing deadlines and competing priorities.How to ApplyInterested candidates should contact Kate Henebry:📧 kate.henebry@raretec.ie | 📞 085 127 9934Or via the Raretec main line: 📞 01 531 1400
