Risk Analyst – AustraliaJob DescriptionA Risk Analyst supports the organisation in identifying potential threats, evaluating exposure, and developing strategies that protect performance and resilience. This role combines analytical sharpness with practical risk judgment, ensuring decisions are anchored in strong evidence rather than guesswork.Key Responsibilities • Conduct risk assessments across financial, operational, and strategic activities • Analyse data to identify emerging risk trends and provide actionable insights • Monitor key risk indicators and evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls • Prepare reports and dashboards that communicate risk positions to leadership • Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting • Partner with stakeholders to develop policies that strengthen the risk framework • Model and quantify risks using recognised methodologies and tools • Assist in implementing mitigation plans and ongoing risk monitoring processesSkills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or a related quantitative field • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or data analysis software • Effective communication skills to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to prioritise competing tasks in a fast-paced environment • Understanding of risk management frameworks and compliance requirements within AustraliaPreferred Experience • Experience in financial services, banking, consulting, or corporate governance • Familiarity with credit, market, or operational risk models • Exposure to industry standards such as Basel III, APRA regulations, or ISO risk frameworks Ability to translate data patterns into meaningful business recommendations
