We are funded entirely by voluntary contributions and are committed to making a lasting difference for children.JOB PURPOSEWe are seeking a highly adaptable and analytical professional to join our newly created Operational Excellence team within the Operations and Digital Transformation department.This role combines two critical responsibilities:Risk Analyst & Function Setup – Support the Chief Operations Digital Officer in establishing the Risk Management function from the ground up, including drafting policies, frameworks, processes, and procedures aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements.Process Improvement & Gap Remediation – Act as an internal consultant to assist business units in addressing process, documentation, and compliance gaps identified by internal audit. This includes designing and implementing practical solutions where resources are limited.This is a unique opportunity for a proactive professional who thrives in dynamic environments and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.KEY RESPONSABILITIESRisk Management function setupDevelop and document risk management policies, frameworks, and procedures.Assist in defining risk appetite, governance structures, and reporting mechanisms.Support implementation of risk assessment methodologies and tools.Prepare training materials and awareness programs for risk culture development.Process Improvement & gap closureCollaborate with business units to analyze existing processes and identify improvement opportunities.Design and document processes, workflows, and controls to close audit-identified gaps.Standardize templates for contracts, procedures, and operational documentation.Monitor progress of remediation plans and report status to senior management.Cross-functional supportAct as a liaison between Risk, Operations, Finance, and other business areas.Provide guidance and best practices for process optimization and compliance.Support change management initiatives to embed new processes effectively.REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSNative proficiency in Portuguese and full professional proficiency in EnglishBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.3–5 years of experience in risk management, internal audit, process improvement, or consulting.Strong understanding of risk frameworks (ISO 31000, COSO) and process design principles.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in setting up risk functions or operational excellence programs.Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirementsFamiliarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologiesKEY COMPETENCIESAdaptability: Comfortable working in an evolving environment with broad responsibilities.Collaboration: Ability to build relationships across diverse teams.Execution: Hands-on approach to delivering practical solutions.Strategic Thinking: Understands the big picture while managing details effectively.WHAT WE OFFERHybrid work model with flexibility.A sustainable office environment.Additional vacation days and a special day off for your birthday.Flexible afternoons for family time.Fresh fruit in the office.Health insurance.A dynamic, purpose-driven culture with opportunities for professional growth.OUR VALUES UNICEF’s work is guided by the values of Care, Respect, Trust, Integrity, Accountability, and Sustainability.
